THIS IS THE SEASON –
Thanksgiving! Christmas! Influenza! Football! Colds!

Everyone touching any public surface, whether at a hospital or doctor’s office, school or grocery store, has the possibility of being infected with the illness of someone else. If they are a carrier of a harmful organism, chances are, they just deposited it on the surface. If they touch the surface after the carrier, they have now picked up the organism, which they now can spread, and/or be sickened by.

In June 2008 the EPA announced that copper, due to its antimicrobial properties, which kill more than 99.9 percent of bacterial contamination within two hours of exposure, is a legitimate weapon in fighting the spread of :
Staphylococcus aureus
Enterobacter aerogenes
(super-bug)methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus
Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Escherichia coli (E Coli) O157:H7

Preliminary testing has proven copper to also be effective against other harmful fungal and microbial organisms, including Aspergillus niger (black mold), Influenza A and Legionella pnuemophila and don’t forget E Coli.

Uncoated copper counter tops can kill more than 99.9% of these harmful organisms within two hours of the organisms contact with the copper, without the use of toxic or harmful chemicals (a great way to “go green” without even trying!).

Copper is a great material for kitchen and reception countertops and restaurant table tops, both due to its’ anti-microbial properties and its’ beauty. Price wise, copper is comparable to many granite countertops.

Concord Sheet Metal manufactures the copper countertop to fit the customers’ substrate.

With an accurate drawing, with dimensions, we can have a quote for you within a week, normally sooner. We can even weld in your copper sink, if you like. If you would like a price on a copper counter top, or any other sheet metal item, you can fax us at 925-680-6569 or email estimator@concordsheetmetal.com.

Have a Healthy and Merry Christmas!
